What's so special about the watch?

This is an early-60s Omega Constellation Ref. 14381-4, one of the most elegant and sought-after variants from the golden era. It carries the iconic pie-pan dial paired with the rarer railroad-minute track, a detail that adds depth, precision, and unmistakable vintage charm. Built to chronometer standards, the Constellation sat at the top of Omega’s lineup - a watch created to represent accuracy, refinement, and quiet luxury. This example has aged into a beautiful, warm champagne tone, giving it the kind of character only time can create..

What are the functions of the watch?

Time only.

Let me tell you about the case...

The stainless-steel case wears elegantly thanks to its slim bezel and graceful lugs. The polished surfaces catch the light beautifully, and the case lines remain clean and well defined. Around the back you’ll find the signature observatory medallion - crisp and proud - marking this as part of Omega’s highest-accuracy family. The signed crown completes the original look and feel of the watch.

I personally also like how they used the fat lugs that I like so much for this execution. Honestly, I'd like the watch a lot less if it presented in the dog-leg variant that other collectors love so much.

And now the dial...

This dial is where everything comes together. The pie-pan profile slopes gently downward into the outer ring, where a railroad-minute track provides sharp visual structure. The creamy champagne tone has developed a soft, even patina, enhancing the vintage character without compromising legibility.

Applied faceted hour markers sparkle at different angles, while the polished Omega logo and Constellation star add that unmistakable mid-century refinement.

Let's not forget the hands...

The dauphine hands are crisp and well proportioned, catching light along their beveled edges. They pair perfectly with the pie-pan dial, maintaining clarity and elegance in equal measure. The central seconds hand glides smoothly, offering a subtle animation that brings the whole composition to life.
