I chanced upon this excellent white dialed creature in an old shopping mall, sitting in the display. The old man who owned the shop told me he's been around since the 1960s, and that I've got my eye on a very special piece - a white dial Enicar watch with the applied logo.
I took a closer look, wary of any vintage watch that looks too clean. The dial was indeed impeccable - clean and white with a matte finish, no major signs of tarnish. There was a minute track around the circumference, roman numerals at the ends of the baton indices, a very nice touch to make up for the otherwise plain color.
The hands were long and slim, each at a good length to make legibility high. The day-date window was... wait. CHINESE DAY!!
Next thing I know, I had a new watch. The usual checks ensued of course (check out the blog to find out what to look out for when buying a watch)!
