my vintage watches

The dome. The gold. The hands. The short lugs. The round case. Where do I start? Because I love them all.

Chronographs come in all shapes and sizes, and the Poljot range even more so. The 3133 was developed by the Russian watch juggernaut and was furbished with a gazillion dial variations, much like their peers Volstok and Raketa. There was one to suit every taste.

This gilded masterpiece presents a perfect combination of dress and sports in a bi-compax chronograph, balanced with an open date window at 6'O. With the symmetry untouched, the designers then sought to use simple stick hands for the subdials and chrono seconds, giving more attention to the classic-styled hour and minute hands.

A wonderful dial is matched with a great domed acrylic over a round case, short lugs purposefully chosen to give even more emphasis to the dial.

A great piece for a great collection.
